Chilli Garlic Mushroom |
Ingredients for batter
Mushroom slices - 1 & 1/2 cups
Salt and pepper powder to taste
Ginger /garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
All purpose flour/Maida - 3 tsp heaped
Corn starch/Corn flour - 3 tsp heaped

Other ingredients
Diced onion - 2 cups
Diced coloured bell peppers/capsicum - 1 cup
Chopped garlic - 6
Chopped spring onions - 1/4 cup
Chopped fresh green or red chilly - 2
Salt and pepper to taste
Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
Tomato ketchup - 1/4 cup
Chilli oil - 2 tsp

Vinegar - 1 tsp
Corn starch/corn flour - 1 tsp (diluted in some water )
Oil to deep fry/shallow fry mushrooms as needed

Method
Heat oil in a pan add the chopped garlic saute till light brown,now add the diced onion and coloured capsicum in high flame saute them.
Now add the seasonings,soy sauce,vinegar and ketchup give a nice mix.
Lastly add the fried mushrooms.

Toss everything well add the diluted corn starch mixture and mix till everything is well combined.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and best served with fried rice.
Note:
a) Always cook Indo chinese recipes in high flame.
b) You can deep fry or shallow fry the mushrooms.If you are calorie conscious do not add any batter just add plain mushrooms.
c) You can make this recipe even with cauliflower,prawn,chicken or fish.
