Semiya Kheer Ready Mix |
Ingredients
Semiya / Vermicelli - 1 cup
Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
Milk powder - 1/4 cup
Ghee - 2 tsp
Chopped pistachio and almonds - 1 tbsp
Saffron crushed - a generous pinch
Crushed cardamom - 8
( remove the skin use only the seeds)

Semiya Payasam Premix |
Heat ghee in a pan add the semiya and in low flame roast till light brown. Add the chopped nut roast for a minute and switch off the stove
Cool the mixture completely and add the sugar , milk powder , cardamom powder and saffron.
Store it in a clean jar.

Vermicelli Kheer Instant Mix |
Boil 1 or 2 cups of milk in a sauce pan add 2 tbsps or as needed of the mix and cook in low flame till semiya is cooked.
Switch off the stove and enjoy hot or cold!
Note:
a) If you like rose essence flavor then add a drop after switch off the stove. Do not cook after adding the essence they may give a bitter taste,
b) Adding milk powder is optional , if added they give a nice thickness to your kheer.
