Onam Sadya Recipe
Ingredients
White pumpkin / Ash gourd /Winter melon Kumbalanga cubed-2 cups
Red chori OR Chow pea / Black eye bean-1/4 cup
(cook it with little salt & drain the water)
Salt to taste
Coconut oil-1tbsp
Slit green chillies-1
Coconut milk-1/2 cup
(I used the tin coconut milk,fresh coconut milk is always better)
Curry leaves-few
Method
Cook pumpkin,salt & green chillies with very little water till 3/4 done,add the cooked & drained red chori.
Cook till its well combined & dry.
Switch off the stove add the curry leaves,coconut milk & coconut oil ,mix & serve.
This recipe has no tempering at all & very quick to make.
