Oats & Tapioca Puttu

Ingredients
Rolled oats-1/2 cup
Shredded tapioca-2 cups
Salt to taste
Jeera-1tsp
Grated coconut-15tsp
(I used dessicated coconut)
Method
In a bowl mix tapioca,salt,jeera & oats.Leave it for 10 minutes.Now put 2tsp of coconut then some tapioca mixture in the puttu maker.Repeat this process till you reach the top.Close the lid & steam it for at least 5 minutes or till steam comes out from the holes on top.Serve it hot with any gravy.
Variation:For fussy kids serve it with some sugar/brown sugar & ghee.

  1. Lovely presentation .I have never made this and dont have a puttu maker.:( but may be I can improvise and steam in idli pan instead???
