Poondu Milagu Sadam |
Cooked rice - 2 cups
Salt to taste
Pepper powder - 1 & 1/2 tsp
Curry and coriander leaves
Tempering
Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal and Channa dal - together - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1/4 tsp
Chopped red chilly or Green Chilly- 1
Curry leaves few
Chopped onion - a handful
Chopped garlic - 8
Cashew nuts - 6 ( optional)
Method
Heat oil in a pan and temper it with above ingredients. Fry till onion and garlic is light golden brown.
Reduce the flame and add the rice , salt and pepper powder and toss well till combined.
Switch off the stove garnish with curry and coriander leaves and serve hot.
