Brown Rice Sweet Pongal

Ingredients
Long brown rice-1/2 cup
Yellow moongh dhal-1/3 cup
Channa dhal-1/8 cup
Water-4 cups
Salt a pinch
Brown sugar-1/2 cup
Cardamom powder-1/2tsp
Edible camphor-a pinch
Nut & raisins fried in 2tbsp of ghee
Method
Fry moongh dhal till nice smell comes.Add the washed rice & channa dhal,pour water & cook it till done.Add the brown sugar give a boil.Switch off the stove & add the fried nuts ,cardamom powder & edible camphor.Mix it well & serve it hot.

  6. I was always skeptical about trying to making sweet pongal with brown rice... So sweet of you, looks very nice and it definitely has turned out well otherwise you wouldnt have posted it... so I can try it with any second thoughts now!!!
