Shrimp Masala Thokku

Ingredients ground to a smooth paste
Red chillies-6
Khus Khus-1/2tsp
Coconut-6tsp
Ginger & Garlic paste-1tsp
Cloves-4
Cinnamon-1/2''
Fennel seeds(Somph)-1tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Other ingredients
Frozen shrimp-2 cups
Salt to taste
Chopped onion-1/2
Chopped tomato-1 big
Tempering
Oil-6tsp
Mustard-1tsp
Curry leaves-little
Method
Heat oil in a pan temper it.Fry onion till light brown in colour,now add tomato & the ground masala.Fry it till oil separates the sides of the pan.Add shrimp & pour little water & cook it till cooked & dry.Garnish it with curry leaves & serve it as a side dish.
Note:Vegetarians can replace shrimp with potato......

    Love shrimps in all forms, this one is absolutely tempting. Like the addition of khus khus and coconut...will try this version.

    Between, I am not good with measurements...hmmm, I used 1 and 1/2 cups of seeds and 1 cup of sugar. Yeah...its good to mix, sugar and ghee too, halwa comes out nicely...regardless what we do...
